In a recent episode of Shark Tank India Season 4, Tikitoro, a Tamil Nadu-based brand specializing in personal care products for kids and teens, won the Sharks over with its innovative and safe offerings.

Founded in 2021 by Prasanna Vasanadu, Tikitoro aims to redefine personal care for younger audiences by creating toxin-free, plant-based products free from harmful endocrine disruptors.

Prasanna sought an investment of ₹25 lakhs for 0.5% equity, valuing the company at ₹50 crores.

She showcased an impressive growth journey: Tikitoro had grown from ₹6 lakhs in its first year to ₹2 crores in the second year. By FY 2023-24, the brand had achieved ₹8.2 crores in sales and projected ₹17 crores for FY 2024-25.

Vineeta Singh expressed interest, offering ₹25 lakhs for 3% equity with the condition that Tikitoro would not raise further capital for two years, valuing the company at ₹8.33 crores.

Viraj advised Prasanna to continue running the business independently, while Anupam Mittal chose to opt out, wishing her success.

Namita Thapar acknowledged some operational challenges but admired Prasanna’s entrepreneurial spirit. She made an offer of ₹25 lakhs for 1% equity and a 0.5% royalty until her investment was recouped, with two key conditions: Tikitoro must achieve ₹17 crores in sales by FY 2024-25, and the royalty would commence only after the company became profitable.

After careful consideration, Prasanna accepted Namita’s offer over Vineeta’s.

Namita praised her as the “turnaround success story” of Season 4. However, Anupam Mittal countered by stating that Tikitoro was already a success and did not require a turnaround. Peyush Bansal added that Namita’s mentorship would help bring the discipline needed for Tikitoro to scale further.
