Sonic Lamb, a Karnataka-based startup revolutionizing the audio experience, made a strong impression on Shark Tank India Season 4, Episode 19.

Founded in 2018 by Navajith Karkera and Jagath Biddappa, the company offers headphones that go beyond top-notch audio quality.

According to Sonic Lamb, their technology delivers an eargasmic experience by enhancing the emotional connection to music, allowing listeners to feel the impact, transformation, and pleasure that sound can bring.

Seeking ₹50 lakh for 1% equity, valuing the company at ₹50 crore, the founders confidently defended their position in the market when asked whether Sonic Lamb was better than boAt.

They emphasized their superior sound quality and premium positioning, setting them apart from mass-market brands. Their pitch, backed by impressive technology and branding, caught the attention of the sharks, particularly Aman Gupta.

Financially, Sonic Lamb reported ₹1.1 crore in revenue for FY23-24 and ₹1 crore in FY24-25 (until September), with ₹28 lakh in sales for that month alone. They also revealed plans to raise ₹15 crore in a pre-Series A round at the same valuation.

During negotiations, Namita Thapar opted out, citing that it was too early for investment. Anupam Mittal offered ₹50 lakh for 3.5% equity, while Vineeta Singh proposed ₹50 lakh for 2% equity, with a 2% royalty until ₹75 lakh was recouped, also suggesting they onboard an expert with an automobile background.

Peyush Bansal saw the brand’s global potential and initially offered ₹50 lakh for 3% equity. After discussion, Peyush closed the deal at ₹50 lakh for 1% equity plus 1% advisory equity, keeping the valuation at ₹50 crore.

Headquartered in Hubli, Karnataka, Sonic Lamb operates in the manufacturing industry and is on a mission to elevate the way people experience sound.

Unlike regular headphones that use traditional speakers, their headphones come with an impulse driver that physically moves back and forth to enhance sound quality.

They also offer a hyper-personalized audio mode with four different settings, allowing users to customize their listening experience. Customers can adjust these modes based on their hearing preferences after taking a quick hearing test.
