Gurugram-based startup Pehle Jaisa, focused on transforming rural waste into agricultural value, has raised $300K in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Pantnagar Capital and Climate Angels.

This round follows a $169K seed round.

The newly raised funds will be used to scale the startup’s decentralized waste-to-fertilizer model across villages in India.

By eliminating first-mile manufacturing costs, Pehle Jaisa aims to deliver high-quality, affordable organic fertilizers to the agricultural sector while building a self-reliant, circular rural economy.

Founded in 2022 by Pankaj Pandey, Ehtesham Farooqui, Shabih Abbas, Sumit Suman, Wasim Akhtar, and Mantosh Kumar, Pehle Jaisa decentralizes organic fertilizer production by integrating directly with rural waste centers.

Its core products include soil conditioners and bio-stimulants, with a pipeline of customized organic fertilizers based on crop types and regional soil profiles.

In just eight months since launch, the startup sold over 500 MT of fertilizers in FY24. In FY25, it scaled to over 1,500 MT, generating ₹2.5 crore in revenue. With growing demand and scale, Pehle Jaisa aims to cross ₹100 crore in revenue in the coming years.
