Space tech venture Akashalabdhi has raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed funding round with participation from Uday Chatterjee, Romesh Sobti, Suraj Nalin, LVX, 1Crowd, and Riceberg Ventures.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development of ANTARIKSHAB, an expandable orbital habitat designed for microgravity research, logistics, defense applications, and long-duration space habitation. The funds will also support projects such as inflatable solar arrays, analogue studies, and the orbital launch of its minimum viable product (MVP).
Founded in 2023 by Manjesh Mohan, Arpit Kumar, Siddharth Jena, and Manoj Mohan, the Roorkee-based startup focuses on dual-use aerospace and defense innovations.
Its vision spans strengthening national security on Earth while advancing infrastructure that supports long-term human presence in orbit.

Akashalabdhi is currently incubated at FSID, IISc Bengaluru, and TIDES, IIT Roorkee, with additional backing from KickSky Accelerator. The startup leverages advanced research and mentorship to transform concepts like expandable habitats and defense-grade systems into scalable, real-world solutions.
