Shark Tank India Season 4 is set to break new ground with the launch of a special segment, ‘Divyang Special,’ dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs with disabilities.

In a major announcement, the show has also confirmed that Jeet Adani, Director at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, will be joining as a Guest Shark.

The Divyang Special segment aims to provide a platform for startups led by differently-abled entrepreneurs or those dedicated to creating products and services that cater to the needs of people with disabilities, offering them funding, mentorship, and visibility.

This initiative aligns with Adani’s vision of inclusivity, as he recently revealed that the Adani Group has mandated that at least 5% of its workforce will be persons with disabilities.

Speaking to Anupam Mittal, Adani shared how his visit to Mitti Cafe, a social enterprise founded by Alina Alam, deeply inspired him. The cafe, which employs individuals with physical, mental, and psychiatric disabilities, left a lasting impact on Adani.

“When I went to the opening of the Mitti Cafe (at the Mumbai International Airport), the smile, spark, and compassion of their staff members, after all the hardships they have faced, moved me,” he said to Mr Mittal.

With Jeet Adani joining the panel and the launch of the Divyang Special segment, Shark Tank India is taking a major step towards fostering an environment where every entrepreneur, regardless of their challenges, gets an opportunity to shine.
