Bengaluru-based startup BYTES, specializing in AI-powered Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for two-wheelers, has emerged from stealth mode and secured a ₹20 lakh non-dilutive grant from Nikhil Kamath’s WTFund as part of its second cohort for 2024.

The funding will accelerate the company’s mission to improve road safety through cutting-edge AI and computer vision technology.

It will also support pilot programs with leading two-wheeler Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to test the system’s real-world capabilities.

Founded in August 2024 by Prakhar Agrawal and Aayush Kumar, BYTES integrates real-time alerts and AI-driven systems to provide partial control in critical moments, helping riders avoid accidents.

“The lack of advanced safety features on two-wheelers contributes to a significant number of road accidents each year, many of which are preventable,” said Prakhar Agrawal, co-founder of BYTES. “With our AI-powered ADAS, we aim to bridge this safety gap and make two-wheelers safer for millions of riders worldwide.”

BYTES is backed by WTFund, IIMB’s NSRCEL, NVIDIA’s Inception Program, Microsoft for Startups, and the Wadhwani Foundation.

The company is set to revolutionize two-wheeler safety through its scalable, technology-first approach.
